WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:  


The Diesel Mechanic Technician will be tasked with completing preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and component replacements on various Charter Buses, School Buses, Shuttles, Transits, Sprinters, and automobiles.


HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

Knowledge of diesel engines, automotive gas engines, brake systems (air & hydraulic), electrical systems along with general knowledge on any heavy equipment repairs.
Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs in a safe, efficient, and well-equipped work environment
Diagnostics and repairs of diesel engines, automotive gas engines, powertrains, HVAC systems, steering systems, electrical systems, cooling systems, and brake systems
Conduct DOT, BIT inspections, DVIR compliance and CHP compliance repairs


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 2 years’ experience working on diesel trucks or commercial buses
High School Diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of Heavy Duty Diesel and Gas Automotive engines.
Technical degree in diesel or industrial technology (Preferred)
Valid driver’s license


SUPPLEMENTAL PAY:
  • Monthly Tool Allowance
  • Yearly Boot Allowance


Schedule:
  • Monday- Friday (Must be able to work rational weekends)

Pay Rate: 

  • The hourly wage range that Lux Bus America San Jose, CA reasonably expects to pay for the position is $26.00/hr.-$48.00/hr.
  • The hourly wage range that Lux Bus America Sacramento, CA  reasonably expects to pay for the position is $26.00/hr.-$43.00/hr.
  • The hourly wage range that Lux Bus America Anaheim, CA reasonably expects to pay for the position is $25.00/hr.-$35.00/hr.
